IF YOU HAVE OLD COPIES OF THE PAN ARUBAN PLEASE DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY. SEND THEM TO ME, I WILL SCAN AND PLACE THEM ON THE WEB SITE AND THEN TURN THE HARD COPIES OVER TO THE ARUBA ARCHIVES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, THEY HAVE EXPRESSED A KEEN INTEREST IN THEM.

The Lago Colony web site is intended to show what was at one time a viable community, located on the east end of the island of Aruba and supported by the largest oil refinery in the world. Most of Lago Colony is gone, a few of the houses remain, they have been turned over to the Aruba Government and some have been sold to individuals. The refinery is operational, but it is not nearly as large as it once was. Having grown up in Lago Colony I can tell you it was a wonderful place to spend one's childhood. I hope you enjoy your visit to Lago Colony and the old Lago Refinery.
