and their two girls, Millie and Loreen arrived in Aruba June 1949 from Long
Beach, California. Millie says that at the age of 15, “I wept all the way across
the country at having to go to some rock in the middle of some water, accusing
my parents of RUINING my life.” “It took me about 48hours to realize that this
was the best thing that ever happened to me.” We lived at Colorado Point for 18
months, then Bung. 613. (Dan’s note, Millie graduated in ’52) My parents and
Loreen moved to bungalow 471 and then to the New Houses, Bungalow 1533, until
